This is the part people ask about most. You’ve got two numbers on your account, and they do very different jobs.
Lifetime Points – your spendable balance
Think of this as your bank account.

• Goes up every time you answer correctly
• Goes down when you redeem points for drawing entries
• This is the number that decides how many entries you can grab right now

Monthly Points – your scoreboard
This tracks every point you’ve earned this month – and it never goes down.

• Goes up every time you answer correctly
• Redeeming entries does not touch it
• Resets to zero when a new month starts
• This is the number that places you on the Monthly Leaderboard

Spending Points on Entries

Points are only worth something once you use them.

Redeem in three clicks

1. Pick your drawing. Head to the Prizes page and find the gift card you want a shot at.
2. Choose your entries. Use the dropdown to select how many entries you want to put in. Feeling lucky? Go big. Want to spread points across multiple drawings? Also fair game.
3. Confirm. Review your selection, click to confirm, and you’re in. Your entries lock into that drawing and your Lifetime Points drop by the same number.

Ground rules

• More entries = better odds. Each entry is a separate ticket in the drawing. Twenty entries means twenty tickets with your name on them.
• Entries are final. Once you confirm, those points are committed to that drawing. Choose with confidence.
• Unspent points roll over. Didn’t redeem everything before a deadline? Your Lifetime balance carries forward to the next drawing.

Entries are non-transferable and hold no cash value. They’re yours alone.

The Monthly Leaderboard

At the start of every month, everyone’s Monthly Points reset to zero and the race restarts.

To be clear: the leaderboard is purely for fun. No prizes are attached to it. Gift cards come from the drawings, and the drawings only. The leaderboard is for bragging rights, personal bests, and the satisfaction of seeing your name near the top.

Which is exactly why it works the way it does. Since redeeming entries costs you nothing in the standings, there’s no reason to sit on your points. Cash them in and climb the board.

Quick Answers

Do my points expire? Your Lifetime balance carries over from drawing to drawing. Only your Monthly total resets each month, and that’s on purpose – it keeps the leaderboard a fair race.

If I spend points, does my leaderboard rank drop? No. Spending only touches Lifetime Points. Your Monthly total and your rank stay exactly where they are.

Can I put all my points into one drawing? Enter as many as your balance allows. Check Drawing Details for any drawing-specific limits.

Can I split points across different drawings? Absolutely. Five entries here, thirty there – play your odds however you like.

Do I lose points for wrong answers? Never. Correct answers earn a point, wrong answers cost you nothing. So guess away.

Can I give points to a friend? Points and entries are non-transferable and hold no cash value. They stay with your account.

Do I have to spend money to win? No. No purchase necessary, ever. Every point comes from playing free trivia, and there’s a free mail-in entry option too – full details on the Drawing Details page.

Are the leaderboard and the drawings connected? Only in that both are fed by correct answers. The leaderboard is for fun. The drawings are where the gift cards live.
